Welcome to July!
We brought in the true spirit of summer last night by having an epic grill-fest. Total paleo…other than the fact that Bryce poured some beer over the onions.
We started with some steak meat which we grilled in black pepper and ancho chili powder. It was…insanely tasty. The onions we covered in garlic powder and beer. I made a boo-boo and cut the onions stupidly so we made an aluminum foil tray to cook the onions in so they didn’t fall through the grill. I would recommend cutting them in circles so they will stay on the grill. Then we did the asparagus…just straight on the grill…no seasoning. Just tasty grilled asparagus goodness! The tomatoes I drizzled in olive oil, black pepper, basil, and oregano. Finally…the most exciting discovery of the evening…
GRILLED AVOCADO
No…seriously. Drizzle lemon juice and a couple sprigs of cilantro over the avocado and grill those babies up. YUM. I cannot fully express to you, the delight, that was these avocados. It tasted like Mexico.
For dessert we finished it off with some grilled pineapple…and we dusted it with ancho chili powder…sweet and spicy…SO FRIGGIN GOOD. Anyways..it was epic. It was a lot of food. And We hope you are inspired to get into the spirit of summer and grill out! It was a very nice change :)
